Brogan Taylor

Mr. Taylor provides expertise on Balaton’s financial strategies and investment opportunities, while playing a key role in several of Balaton’s portfolio companies. Mr. Taylor facilitates the valuation process for companies prior to capital raises and market offerings and analyzes new investment opportunities. His fresh perspectives and logical and rational analysis coupled with a creative investment eye are clear assets to Balaton’s strategic decision-making process.
Previously, Mr. Taylor was recruited by Scotia Capital, a division of the Bank of Nova Scotia, where he worked on the institutional equity trading floor, analyzing mergers and acquisitions in support of the arbitrage trading desk. Prior to that, Mr. Taylor was a supply chain manager at Honda of Canada Manufacturing. The first student to be hired in that role, Mr. Taylor managed 15 key foreign parts suppliers. In addition, he streamlined the management of Honda’s $26 million in parts purchased annually from overseas suppliers; thus, saving the company over $1.4 million in obsolescence costs per year. Mr. Taylor holds a B.B.A. with a major in Finance from Bishop’s University in Lennoxville, Quebec and is presently a candidate in the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program.
